Over to Brussels this week for a recital by the recent (2012) Queen Elizabeth Violin Competition winner Andrey Baranov from Russia. Accompanying him is Inga Dzektser in a program of music by Prokofiev, Ysaye, Franck and Saint-Saens.
Baranov has gotten stellar reviews since his competition win. He made his debut in 2005, and at the ripe old age of 26, is a seasoned veteran of the concert stage.
Here’s what’s on the player this week:
Musiq’3 recorded on April 23, 2013 at Bozar in Brussels

Thanks to RTBF Musique 3 in Brussels for this great sounding concert.
Further evidence music is all over the place.
This one also ranks somewhere in the top 10 of Anti-Road Rage Wednesday must-hear concerts.
Put the baseball bat down and turn this one up.
