Having been a fan of Oasis since Definitely Maybe, and a little puzzled by the whole Noel/Liam fracas, as well as the amount of Press-baiting going on, I was looking forward to seeing Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, partly out of curiosity and partly to see if anything of the rumors was true.
So when they played Los Angeles, during the time of this concert – not only did I immediately forget about all the rumors and sensational accounts, but became totally sucked in by a completely engaging and enjoyable concert.
Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in all the bullshit that you forget what the real issues are. And the real issues in this case are what a remarkable talent and songwriter Noel Gallagher is, and how this current incarnation of his career is a completely satisfying one, not only for him but the audience and listeners.
And as proof of that, have a listen to this concert, part of that initial tour – playing at the celebrated Rock en Seine Festival in Paris on August 25th 2012 by Radio France‘ Rock outlet Le Mouv’ for their weekend program Le Live.
Forget all the controversy and rumors and made-up stories about Noel Gallagher and focus on the music, the words and the message. Excellent stuff there – timeless stuff.
