Celia Posada of De Fem – The open beating heart of sonic rapture.

De Fem, in session for Los Conciertos de Radio 3 in Madrid and recorded on May 12, 2026.

When a band grabs your attention after the first 20 seconds and holds it until the last chord is struck, you know you’re witnessing something truly extraordinary.

This comes from the band’s Presskit and is translated from Spanish:

De Fem emerged from Asturias with a distinctive, atmospheric take on contemporary Spanish indie pop. Built around vocalist Celia Posada and multi-instrumentalists Miguel “Mishi” Ruiz and Antonio “Tony” Tamargo, the band crafts sparse, emotive arrangements where layered vocals and discrete instrumental colors create cinematic moods. Their debut album Rojo Despertar (2025) explores themes of memory, migration and the sea, combining acoustic guitars, subtle electronic textures and intimate percussion. In May 2026 De Fem performed for RTVE’s Los conciertos de Radio 3, an appearance that broadened their audience nationwide and showcased their live strength: precise harmonies and a focused, immersive stage presence.

A rather simple explanation, but listening to De Fem is a whole other experience altogether. Celia Posada has a remarkably atmospheric voice – coupled with contributions from the other members, the end result is something to linger over – by all means, repeat-play and just listen, really listen to.

Whether De Fem broadens their horizons by coming over to this side of the Atlantic is really up to them. If this debut album is any indication of what they have in mind for the long run, we’re in for some astounding, unforgettable music.

Further evidence there is magic everywhere – you just have to keep an open mind.

Stay tuned – they’re just getting started.
