Together since 2005 and with three albums out including a new one, Raise The People, which is slated for release on July 28th.
According to reports, they’ve recently relocated to the UK, which may offer a ray of hope the band will start touring around Europe and possibly hit a few U.S. dates in the future. This gig, recorded at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne, was recorded just before the band relocated to the UK.
Before the move, they were pretty much concentrating around Australia and New Zealand, confining their tours to local venues, building up a local fan base. But with Australia getting so much musical attention of late, it would only seem natural for Calling All Cars to broaden their horizons and see how the rest of the world likes them. So now they’ve gone from Melbourne’s own to Earth’s own – that seems to be working okay.
I suspect they won’t have any problem grabbing a large fan base shortly.
Since this is high voltage set from a high voltage band, play this one accordingly.
