– Foo Fighters – in Concert at Glastonbury 2017 – June 24, 2017 – BBC 6 Music –
Foo Fighters for Monday morning, finally headlining at Glastonbury 2017 after several tries, but certainly worth the wait. One of the worlds most popular bands, I am sure everyone on the planet who is a fan of Grohl & co. have heard this one at least a hundred times since it was first recorded.
But in case you haven’t – this is a good one, and it has been characterized in the press as one of the best Foo Fighters concerts ever. And at a little over 2 hours, it certainly covers the bases. And it almost accomplished Grohl’s fervent wish to pull an all-nighter at Glasto in 2017.
Since the band has become a household name, re-hashing their story is slightly redundant. Suffice to say, Foo Fighters have scored highly on a lot of musicians lists, and their guest appearances read like a Who’s Who of Rock. After a disappointing last minute pull-out from Glasto 2015, owing to a broken leg on Dave Grohl‘s part, the band more than made up for the loss by turning in a highlight set to the festival; further cementing their reputation as one of the best of the current crop of Alternative bands to hit the concert and club circuit.
So here’s a reminder of a monumental gig by one of the most successful bands in America of 2017 and beyond.
