I hate to keep bugging you all, but the Past Daily Fundraiser is lumbering along slowly. If we hadn’t had a pile of unexpected disasters to deal with, we might be finished with the fundraiser by now. But no. It’s August and a flurry of bills just hit (and dead cars and late rents) and we’re coming up way too short. And so the appeal continues until we’re out of the woods.
Past Daily is a labor of love – it’s based on my collection of some 50 years of gathering historic sounds I want to share with you because they do no good sitting in a warehouse collecting dust. But it takes most hours of the day to get these posts together and unfortunately, it’s an expensive proposition.
I know money is tight – and it’s Summer and most everyone is vacationing or taking time off or just as broke as we are. It’s a lot of things. I know you would just as soon enjoy the posts and the music and not be hassled with appeals for contributions. But we’ve gotta do what we’ve gotta do.
