Big Referenced
Big Reference – Big plans.

Big Reference – in session for John Kennedy – Radio X – July 28, 2023 – Radio X, London –

Big Reference in session tonight, recorded only hours ago from the John Kennedy Session for Radio X.

A relatively new band (less than a year old), Big Reference have been making the most of a late start (due largely to the COVID shut down, curtailing a lot of activity) and hitting the ground running.

Big Reference is a new (2022) alternative rock band fronted by Hannah Deeble. In a past life, Hannah and husband Trevor led various projects (Indigo Moss / Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou). They’ve been signed to Heavenly Recordings, Big Life, Loose Music and worked with producers including Dan Carey, Ethan Johns and Youth. They’ve toured all over the world with Tori Amos, Ron Sexsmith, Jools Holland, Damon Albarn’s The Good The Bad & The Queen and many many more. They’ve played the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury, the main stage at Green Man and Secret Garden Party, done tons of radio and now they have a debut single coming out. They’ve been around the block and are back at the beginning again.

At present Big Reference are getting ready to make the trek around the UK (for now) to promote the single (which is already, I understand, headed for a second pressing). And with that, doing a string of sessions for radio to get you more acquainted with them.

So far the response has been excellent, which no doubt bodes well for their future. In the meantime, press Play, crank this one up and give it a listen. And maybe you can’t grab the limited edition 7″ single, there are still a more singles available via their Bandcamp site, so head over, grab a copy and check them out.

And while you’re here . . .you know we don’t run ads – stopped running them more than a few years ago. The ads were noisy and pretty awful and they were a huge distraction, having to wade through a lot of useless barking in order to get to the good stuff. But we still have to pay the bills, and there’s a ton of them and they don’t like to wait. And so we ask you consider becoming a subscriber and support all the stuff we do every day by kicking in what amounts to being an Americano Grande every month to be part of the solution and not the problem. In todays bizarre economy it ain’t much – but it means a ton to Past Daily. All you have to do (and we make this as simple and pain-free as possible) is head over to Patreon (that red box just below that says “Become A Patron” that you click on) and check us out. You can do 7 days free just to kick the tires and take a test drive. And if you like us, hit the subscribe button and become part of our rather haywire little family. Not bad, considering we just want you to like us.
