Staying in Europe tonight for a set by Spanish singer/Songrwriter Erin Memento and broadcast a few days ago by Radio Nacional Espana as part of their Los Conciertos de Radio 3 series.
Erin Memento, at 22 has a pretty successful career under her belt. Having moved to Los Angeles in order to study Sound Engineering with an eye on producing her own material, Erin Memento moved back to Spain in 2018 and settled in Zaragosa where she established a solo career in addition to becoming a member of several other bands.
Erin Memento has collaborated with artists such as Enrique Bunbury and Juan Covarrubias for her Wired Sessions project and since earlier this year 2023 joined the band, Los Santos Inocentes.
Boldness, healthy ambition, fluidity, talent, strength and stage presence, outlined in several projects that she developed during her stay in Los Angeles with The Ivories, adding vocals to ‘Expectativas’ by Enrique Bunbury, the ‘Wired Sessions’ project, again with Bunbury and Juan Covarrubias or as solok with the EP ‘Lilly’.
For that debut EP she counted on Nacho ‘Atmósfera’ Serrano, keyboardist of the legendary Boys of Brazil, to add electronic nuances to the project. Said Erin Memento: “There was an instant connection with him; He wanted to go beyond what I had recorded, add synthesizers without removing the great guitar that I have as standard, and he got the idea right away.”
Earlier this year Erin Memento released ‘El Golpe del Momento’, which she collaborated with Paco Loco, Diego Escriche and Ramón Gacías, which she also co-produced and recorded between Madrid and Puerto de Santa Maria. She has the great ability to surround herself with musicians who are versatile and on the same page. After presenting the work at Vive Latino Spain, Bunbury announced that Erin would become part of his band De ella, Los Santos Inocentes.
