Jim Noir
Jim Noir – You may not be all that familiar with him, but you are certainly familiar with his music.

Jim Noir may not be a household name, but his music is so catchy, hook-laden and evocative that much of the music from his 4 albums have been featured on TV shows, Movies, Commercials just about everywhere, that he is instantly recognizable.

Being that popular for your music, rather than you as an artist can be a blessing and a curse all at the same time. First off – it’s not Jim Noir’s fault he writes some extremely catchy and evocative music and it just happens to show up on the radar of just about every Music Editor and Consultant working in the business today. Second – as a serious musician and artist, it’s what you make your living from. And if Grey’s Anatomy or Adidas wants to use your music – it means you are paid handsomely, and it takes care of bills, food, studio costs and the gig where nobody buys anything.

The days of the struggling artist/romance of the garrett lifestyle are not what they were cracked up to be; ever. Starving doesn’t look good on anybody – and if you’re a talent like Jim Noir, thank god he makes a living doing what he loves.

With four albums, along with ten singles and eps, Noir has a healthy catalog and a good following as well as being respected and admired by his peers – there is even a Jim Noir club which releases special tracks each month.

All that said – there hasn’t been much out of Jim Noir of late – the latest is the release of the single In Hell, and nothing else. No website information (in fact, the website seems to be no longer up). So it’s a little unclear as to what Jim Noir is up to currently.
