Still high from their win at last year’s BBC Scottish Act Of The Year for 2024, Bottle Rockets are wasting no time hitting the ground running.

All the ingredients; Great press – great word-of-mouth – selling out shows – releasing new material and keeping the message out there and in front of everybody.

And as the BBC put it:

“Bottle Rockets won BBC Introducing’s ‘Scottish Act of the Year,’ beating 500+ acts and solidifying their place as one of Scotland’s most exciting emerging bands. Their dynamic blend of shoegaze and indie has captivated audiences across the UK. They also won ‘Best Alt/Rock’ at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards and earned airplay on Radio 1 and US stations. Their future is bright.”

“It’s Glasgow’s Bottle Rockets turn to take to the stage and this band gets straight to the point. The four piece led by Kenzi Murray (vocals) are John Tamburrini (guitar), Andrew Cummings (bass) and Sam Rae (drums). Taking formation in 2021, Bottle Rockets came out of lockdown making their name across the vibrant Glasgow music scene. In 2023, they found their flow in the singles game and their latest single ‘Winter Baby‘ was even played on Radio 1 by lead judge Jess Iszatt ahead of the shortlist even being announced. Winning Best Rock/Alternative at last year’s Scottish Alternative Music Awards and playing the legendary Barrowland Ballroom during last year’s Tenement Trail, the young Glasgow band are unstoppable.”

Just a sample of the praise Bottle Rockets are getting.

This session happened at the end of January this year – a quick appearance at BBC Scotland Introducing program (although they are old hands now and don’t really need an introduction) – they were on their way to a multi-night gig headlining at Glasgow’s legendary King Tut’s – just getting the word out and previewing some new materials that should be dropping at your local vinyl emporium in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, press Play, have a listen and tune the world out for the next 8 minutes or so.
