The Music of Erik Satie this week, with Guillaume Vincent in recital at Musée d’Orsay, recorded on February 16 of this year by the venerable Radio France Musique.

A program of less well-known Piano works of Satie (sorry, no Gymnopédies) in this short, but nicely executed recital. Guillaume Vincent is a star-on-the-rise, having made his debut at 10. By 16 he had won the prestigious Prix de Piano, and since then has gone on to win several awards and a flood of accolades from press and audiences. His debut album came out in 2012 – a collection of Rachmaninov Preludes. He has been touring frequently and has played with numerous orchestras, including the BBC symphony and the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra.
