Festival season continues. Tonight it comes from Australia, via Radio Station Triple J, who have an amazing site and an amazing station that you need to go to, bookmark and refer to daily. Lots of great bands and music – and it’s part of ABC Radio National, which is one of the best Radio networks in the world. I kid you not.
Tonight it’s a band I ran a little over a year ago as a “New Faces Edition”. San Cisco, again featured on Triple J, but doing a Hotel radio session for the program Live At The Wireless late 2013. I predicted good things for the band – and my hunches proved true.
Cut to two weeks ago and San Cisco are a seasoned band with hits under their belts and audiences crowding to see them. A lot has changed, but the band is still the same, and the work has paid off.
And Splendour In The Grass is one of the big Australian Festivals taking place each year. Great lineup, great bands and San Cisco feel right at home – well . . .because it is home. Having finished a big North American tour just weeks earlier, this is something of a homecoming for the band – and the energy is high and the vibe is great.
